The only trouble I had was my ruffle ended up too long - my fault as I was getting used to how to tell seam allowances on a serger, and with top stitching - because my regular machine hates knits. It's a very cute pattern. And using the thickest and thinnest knits possible did force me to learn about tension and the feed differential very quickly!Heather @ Quilts Actuallyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12354899356020190187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7955956330307007214.post-37737423101443701762013-12-08T10:51:21.107-05:002013-12-08T10:51:21.107-05:00Both projects turned out great for your first time...Both projects turned out great for your first time using a serger! But try always by every new project if the settings of your machine are right. If you use clips whit knits is that better for your machine, you and for the knit. Because the clips can not come under the foot and knife. It makes no holes in your knit. And your work stays better in place.

A cover is like a car it has to make miles, because it works beter.
